1 LINCROFT SCHOOL Welcome to our Year 6, 7 and 8 Parents’ Evening Tuesday 27th September 2016

2 Purpose of this Evening & School Tours
Understand how the school has prepared and is ready to become a Secondary School Find out more about the Transfer at 11 process Get a feel for high quality teaching and learning in a Secondary School If your child is not already at the school book to see the school at work during the day so that you can meet and listen to the boys and girls (they know the school best of all!)

3 Lincroft Pledge To provide a school where:
children can work in a safe and supportive environment which nurtures and challenges them to achieve their potential we develop children’s self-confidence, self- esteem, independence and resilience there is a broad and balanced curriculum the staff are highly trained and know individual children’s needs

the facilities provide a 21st Century learning environment there is a wide-range of engaging extra- curricular activities a comprehensive careers education and guidance programme the school becomes the hub of the community and maximises opportunities for all

the Teaching School enables the development of outstanding practitioners there is a respectful environment housed in acceptance and tolerance, free from prejudice and inequality but most of all: children will always be encouraged to do their best

13 Transfer at 11 Processes Application to Lincroft: For those that are here there is nothing to do Catchments, other Middle School changes and how these affect Sharnbrook Upper School

Pastoral Support Inspiring teachers – they care and can deliver at KS4 Appropriate curriculum (comparable with high performing Secondary Schools in the area)
