The TASK: The students will take an adventure to a planet in our Solar System. They will then talk about their “adventures” to the class The students will use the strategy, Jigsaw. Each group will be assigned a planet and must do research to teach their classmates all about that planet! The students will work in groups of three to research their planet

The ROLES: Member 1: The ASTRONAUT- You will determine how you would get to the planet. What do you need? Member 2: The RESEARCHER- What is the planet like? Is there life on it? What is the temperature? Member 3: The TEACHER- Create a quick facts sheet about your planet!

The student is somewhat prepared, but it is clear that rehearsal was lacking. Student does not seem at all prepared to present. Collaboration with Peers Almost always listens to, shares with, and supports the efforts of others in the group. Tries to keep people working well together. Usually listens to, shares with, and supports the efforts of others in the group. Does not cause \"waves\" in the group. Often listens to, shares with, and supports the efforts of others in the group but sometimes is not a good team member. Rarely listens to, shares with, and supports the efforts of others in the group. Often is not a good team member. Stays on Topic Stays on topic all (100%) of the time. Stays on topic most (99-90%) of the time. Stays on topic some (89%-75%) of the time. It was hard to tell what the topic was.
