. EXPANSION OF DEMOCRACY
1-Most countries in Asia and Africa were colonies under the control of European nations. 2-Many of these countries became democracies after 1945. 3-India achieved Independence In1947. 4-In1980 democracy was revived in several countries of Latin America.

5-Poland and several other countries of became free from the control of the Soviet Union during 6-BY 2005 about 140 countries were holding multi-party elections. 7-More than 80 non-democratic countries have made advances towards democracy since 1980.

Burma gained freedom from colonial rule in 1948.
The military rulers of Myanmar refused to recognize the election results.
