Adverb Adverb: A word that describes a verb,
adjective, or another adverb. Examples: SUDDENLY, James found his quiet, boring life had changed. She was EXTREMELY nice.

Prepositions Prepositions: Words that show the relationship between a noun/pronoun and some other word or element in the rest of the sentence. Example: The cupcake WITH sprinkles is mine.

Conjunctions Conjunctions: Words that join two or more words, phrases, or clauses. Examples: BOTH the soccer team AND the swimming team are doing well. I will eat broccoli AFTER I eat this cookie.
