Internal Activities Providing rides to members who do not drive. Provided cooked food to a Nasir. One Nasir Member passed away at the age of 80; the funeral arrangement was done and funds were raised to help the family; food was cooked and delivered to the family . New family recently arrived from Pakistan. two Ansar members helped him to find job Visited a Nasir in a medical facility who is going through treatment Ansar members visited a sick wife of a fellow Nasir brother who later on passed away; funeral was arranged; over $5000 were raised to pay the family for the arrangements; food was cooked and delivered to the family 5 persons were given medicines and were checked for health. 5 persons were given homeopathic medicines 4 members were attended by a physician ,test were done and medicines given free of charge. A non ahmadi friend was also attended for check up and medicines given free of charge. 2 members were given 6 homeopathic medicines

Internal Activities A person was helped with filing for new passport.
4 Ansar donated money for humanity cause. 3 Ansar provided transportation to and from masjid for other jamaat members. 2 ansar have been conducting a weekly Oracle administration course to jama'at members. 1 Nasir developed a new resume for a jobless nasir. 2 Ansar provide regular guidance and help for members who are out of a job. Assistance covers resume preparation, job search, interview preparation, dress-code consultation and mock interviews.. Efforts have resulted in two members becoming gainfully employed Held medical camp. Provided prescriptions as well as free medicines to some patients. Also provided free homeopathic medicines to Ahmadi and non-Ahmadi patients.

External activities Distributed 200 meat sandwiches, dry fruit and water to the homeless. Provided food to 260 homeless people during the month on weekends; Members prepared food and distributed which saved about $250. Sick and elderly members of Jamaat were contacted via phone and in person. Food was cooked and delivered to food bank for 400 people - over $200 spent. Nasir prepared and distributed meals to 200 people in downtown. 3 Ansar delivered 28 hot meals to 26 houses. Under the guidance of our muntazim social works, a total of 1000 homeless people were fed at two different homeless shelters (on 4 occasions). Our ithar team was invited to take part in a fund-raiser dinner (they were one of the five chef teams) which was well-attended by media (TV channels etc.,). On average 4-5 ansar took part on each occasion from cooking to food to serving it to the needy individuals. Ansar held "Feeding the Homeless/Hungry" drive on Saturday June, 02. where they prepared 200 packs each containing one burger, one Chips pack and a water bottle. Our Muntazim Ithar took his kids with him so that they can learn importance and value of these types of Social programs. 5 Ansar provide monetary donation for humanity cause. 1 Nasr provides monetary donation worth more than $300 for someone's health expenses. One Nasir runs an AA program where he holds weekly court-approved meetings for alcoholics Our Ithar team prepared food for a total of 700 homeless individuals during the month of February, 2012 at three different homeless shelters.

Responsibilities of Muntazim Social Services
This item has been adopted from the Constitution of Majlis Ansārullāh: Muntazim Social Services shall chalk out programs in order to sympathize with Allāh’s creatures, to serve them and to work for their welfare and shall ask all Ansār to act upon these programs. The Muntazim should: Initiate and sustain at least one social service activity in his Majlis: Assess needs by conducting Local Needs Assessment (LNA). Select a specific need(s) that your Majlis will address immediately. Develop plans to address selected need. Implement plan(s) immediately. If feasible, select additional needs to address Report all Social Services activities performed during the previous month. Provide a brief description of Ithar activities performed during the month. Each activity reported must provide specific, measurable details to include: The number of Ansār involved in that specific Ithar activity The number of hours spent on Ithar An approximate dollar savings or value of the social service rendered i.e what is an approximate fair market value for this service or activity? Evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented plans and make changes as needed.

Important Note: To motivate and to recognize the efforts of successful programs by Majālis, Qā’id Ithar will award 30 points as a bonus to the majlis that runs an Ithar program that works over months and brings positive results from the Jamā‘at members and the community . The format and the plan that works to bring result should be submitted to Qā’id Ithar. Other Majālis may implement similar plan in their area.
