Adjective An adjective is a word that is used to modify a noun or pronoun. To modify means to describe the word or to make its meaning more definite.

Adjective An adjective modifies a noun or pronoun by telling:
What kind? Which One or Ones? How Much or How Many? Whose? Korean children busy dentist seventh grade these books several days ten dollars Bill’s watch Dr. Smith’s schedule

The most commonly used adjectives are a, an, and the. These adjectives are called articles. Examples of Articles: The shoe just does not fit. A chicken clucked. An answer is required.

Demonstrative Adjectives
This, that, these, and those can be used both as adjectives and as pronouns. When they modify a noun or pronoun, they are called demonstrative adjectives. When they are used alone, they are called demonstrative pronouns.
