Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School 24 London Road Chipping Norton Oxfordshire OX7 5AX Tel: Headteacher: Mrs Lorna Buchanan Friday 8th September Issue 1 Prayer God of wisdom and might, At the beginning of this new school year We ask you to bless our school community. May our school be a place where the Gospel of Jesus is proclaimed, And our Catholic faith at the heart of all we strive to do. Help our children and young people to grow through their learning Into the people you have called them to be. Open their minds and hearts to discover the gifts of wisdom and knowledge As they search for understanding and truth. Assist our teachers and staff as they strive to lead and support our children in their learning And be witnesses of your truth and love. May our school community grow throughout this year aware of your life giving presence and responding to the gift of your grace. We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Message from the Headteacher Welcome back to school and to our first newsletter. We have had a very smooth and successful start to the term. I would like to extend a special warm welcome to the newest members of our community: our new staff, new students and their families. It is wonderful to see so many new faces. I know you will continue to work with us so your child can grow in confidence, with a love of learning, and a determination to be the best person they can be. Of course, it is equally wonderful to welcome back the rest of the school. I have heard lots of terrific holiday stories; had some very warm welcome back greetings, and again been struck by the strong sense of community our school enjoys. You will see from our diary dates that we have some exciting activities already planned for this term. Please note the date of your child’s class curriculum meeting.
