4. Suggested Packing List
All children must wear their Upton sweatshirt/fleece to school for the journey to and from Swattenden. If your child does not have one, they can be obtained via 'lost property'.
Please clearly label or mark each item with your child's name
waterproof coat
Carrier bags (for dirty clothing)
2 pairs of outdoor shoes (lace up or velcro). Please no wellington boots
1 pair of slippers or plimsolls to be worn indoors
enough underclothes
jeans or tracksuit bottoms
shorts
t shirts - these make a good base layer if the weather is chilly!!
tops and sweatshirts – hopefully we won’t need them!
pyjamas/night clothes
soap, flannel, roll-on deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, towel (no aerosol please)
up to £10 spending money
Lip balm, suntan lotion
water bottle (this can be refilled during the course of the trip)
Skirts are not appropriate. 'Best clothes' are best left at home!
Every item, down to underwear and socks must be labelled.
Jewellery, even earrings are best left at home. If they cannot be removed, only studs should be worn. Hair must be tied back away from the face for all activities.

Please arrive by 8.00am but no earlier than 7.50! If you are running late, please phone the school to let us know
Register your child with their team – Red or Blue (Your children will know which team they are in!)

6. Things to remember
Medication No mobile phones Nothing electrical Hat, sun lotion, Vaseline, named water bottle! Spending Money (up to £10, some in change if possible)

School sweatshirt, fleece or hoodie A full ‘kit’ list will be on the website

8. Thank You
for completing the medical forms! When the trip is over, all forms will be destroyed

9. Medication
If you child is unlucky enough to become ill over the next couple of weeks and require additional medication that you have not put on the form – DON’T WORRY! Please send in a covering letter on the day of the trip!

10. On the day……
Hand in any medication to Mrs Blunden Please don’t forget that any medication you hand in must be on the medical form or have an accompanying letter

11. Coming home……
Leave Swattenden Centre approx 2.30 Arrive back at Upton by approximately 4.30 Any delays will be posted at school
