The climate in South Africa is typically warm and dry. The winter temperatures rarely fall below 0°C. In summer the maximum is frequently above 35°C Each of the regions in South Africa has different climates. For example, in the coastal regions like Eastern Cape, the climate is sub-tropical, and in other regions, like Cape Town, the climate there is Mediterranean In the North West Province, there the climate is similar to that of the Kalahari Desert. In the Free State, the climate is hot and arid.

4 In South Africa, there are many well-kept game reserves, where the animals live.
There is a very special game park, in my city, called Seaview Game Park. At this game park, there are all kinds of animals, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, rhinoceros, lions, tigers, etc. Picture taken by Anne Elizabeth Jones

5 At this game park there is a demarcated area within the game park, where cars can drive through the lion camp, with lions all around the car. There are also smaller camps where the lion and tiger cubs live; each age category has a different camp in which they live, until they are old enough to go into the larger camps, and one day, back into the wild. If you are brave enough, you can even go into the camps to play with the cubs. Picture taken by Anne Elizabeth Jones
