What is Food security? Food security is defined as access by all people at all times to the food required for a healthy life. Now achieving food security means that sufficient food is available and relatively stable ,and people can obtain it.

what is food insecurity?
When food is hard to get and people have no access to food. There are 3 concepts related to the food insecurity Hunger: is referred to food deprivation. Malnutrition: results from deficiencies, excesses or Imbalances in the nutrients. Poverty: the condition which people cannot afford basic human needs.

Why is food security an issue in developing countries?
Climate concerns such as lack of rainfall and water for growing crops and also livestock. poverty , low and unstable incomes low agricultural productivity due political or institutional constrains

FAO Activities : They ensure that people have access to food ,and increase the role of trade.

scientists have confidently predicted that by 2020 rain fed agricultural productions will fall down by 50% in many African countries and this can lead to a huge food insecurity there.
