Pollution caused by human activities
BY: RIDHIMA & TANISHA

Burning of fuels such as coal, wood, kerosene, petrol and diesel produces black smoke which contains carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Incomplete combustion of fuels releases gases like carbon monoxide into the atmosphere. Production of smoke containing oxides of carbon by automobiles and thermal power plants. Discharge of poisonous gases such as chlorine, sulphur dioxide, oxides of nitrogen and carbon dioxide by chemical factories.
3
Dust produced by traffic and various industrial operations all of which add suspended particulate matter (SPM) into the air. CFCs used as coolant in the refrigerators, air conditioners and aerosol spray cans. Certain radioactive pollutants released into the air from nuclear waste.
