7. Some Recent Examples Replaced all exit signs to LED
Replaced Gazebo lights on common with CFLs-replaced watt bulbs with 16 watt bulbs
Planning on the replacement of Town boilers
Remove Vending machine Town hall-3,500 KWh/yr.
Schools replaced all exit signs with LEDs
Both Schools and Town underwent Energy audits last winter.

9. Energy Efficiency Committee
Recommend formation of Ad-hoc committee made up of Town employees, school employees and residents to advise, seek savings, and help educate the community on energy conservation.

10. Green Communities Act Passed by MA spring 2008
Eligible communities get access to grants and loans through State (funded at $10mm/year)
Reduce energy use by 20% in town buildings over 5 years
Purchase fuel efficient vehicles when practicable
As of right siting for renewable of alternative energy facilities as designated by town.
Adopt a streamlined permitting to site such facilities
