Our strategy for effective networks includes: Information Toolkit Branding Themes but no central goals or targets set down Quarterly feedback Executive newsletters Staff suggestion box Technology – Conference calls, WebEx, Website

But how do you keep Green Teams “on track” especially when they work all over the world? Our Teams are structured as follows: Organised by building, city or state Regional Co-ordinator Central (corporate) control Buddies Introduction to business contacts Annual whole-world event

How do you make sure that they are working on initiatives that are aligned to your strategic environmental targets? We don’t direct their initiatives Very light touch, staff driven Make it relevant to the office/country

This is where the business links are so valuable Facilities Management Data Centres Maintenance & Engineering Sourcing Introduction made via regional Facilities Manager Gives “licence” to engage Link to personal objectives Follow up with personal introduction Team by Team Giving examples of what works – make it relevant Position the business as “enablers of change”
