6 From IPBGG “Zenglu has been an active member of IPBGG, serving as major professor for 5 PBGG students, 3 PhD and 2 MS.  Two PhD students have received prestigious Soybean Board Fellowships and one received the Glenn and Helen Burton Feeding the Hungry Scholarship.  He also has sole responsibility for teaching Quantitative Aspects of Plant Breeding, ensuring that this continues to be a rigorous course.  His program is focused on molecular soybean breeding and is delivering soybean germplasm and cultivars that will have significant impact on the soybean industry.  This is one of the most cutting-edge breeding programs in the Institute.” Dr. Peggy Ozias-Akins, Director Institute for Plant Breeding, Genetics and Genomics
