This Term: Daily Schedule
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays for 10 weeks Monday and Tuesday Three two-hour sessions starting at 8am Short break around 10am Lunch at 12pm, back at 1pm Wednesday Two two-hour sessions starting at 2pm Short break around 4pm

Powerpoint slides Bare bones of each unit You need to put “meat” on these bones Teacher delivery of content Bring pen and paper to make notes! Cisco reading Very beneficial, do as much as you can Your questions Flesh out the things that don’t make sense Lab activities: Packet Tracer and others Practice makes perfect

Be active: Study at home: read material ahead of class and do Packet Tracer activities Ask questions when in class, or by Actively take notes (pen and notebook) Do all the lab activities (required, optional) Learn the ideas, don’t just do the lab activities Be reflective: do I have gaps, what do I need to do to stay on top of things?

Communication Communication is going to be very important
You need to understand me, and I need to understand you “Can you say that again more slowly please?” “I didn’t understand that, can you explain it in a different way please?” “What does that word mean?” “I am having trouble with your accent, can you say that again thanks”

Expected Behaviour You are here to learn skills & knowledge, so act accordingly: be an active learner Don’t behave in a way that distracts yourself or other students in the class Talking in class, browsing the web, sending or reading SMS, answering the phone If you are disruptive, it is important that you leave the room to allow other students to keep learning

International Student Requirements
100% attendance on all days of the term Successfully complete all your units If you do not achieve this, you will be asked in for an interview to explain why not Students who have no reasonable explanation will be prevented from continuing on in the Diploma Department of Immigration may then cancel your Student Visa: you get to go home early
