Notebooks Your notebook should be CLEAN, NEAT, ORGANIZED, and COLORFUL
I will store your notebook in a bin in my room. Please store them neatly- one in front of the other so you can find yours…NOT thrown in piles one on top of the other!

Composition Notebook Set Up
Borrow a Sharpie to fill out the front cover On the cover write… Your First & Last Name and Period #__ Semester 1, Sem 2, or S2 Trader/Sci 8 On the binding (top, side, and bottom) write…(trust me – it makes it easier to find!) Your First and Last Name Period #__

Notebook Set Up Front Cover= First & Last Name, Period, Trader, Science, & Semester 1 First & Last Name and Period on each binding 1st Page= Intro Page…create a page about yourself &/or about what you learned in Science class last You may use pictures, collage, etc. WOW Factor is a must seeing as this page is a first impression of you!

Lab Reports At the top of the page title it “LAB REPORTS”.
The first 2 pages are Table of Contents for lab reports. Label the second line with page #, date and title. (see below) Page # Date Title 1 2 3

Section 5: Vocabulary Label each right hand corner page with consecutive letters of the alphabet from A-Z. After you label the pages from A-Z, look in your science text books for the definitions of “inference” and observation and add these terms to your notebook now.

“GLASTAPLE” Glue, staple, or tape any pages that need to go in your notebook! Make sure it is neat and you are able to read both sides of pages that are 2-sided You may want to cut out pages so that they fit!

Go to p. 6 in your notes Title it Fire Drill Flow Map Create a Flow Map of what to do when the fire alarm goes off…try to think of everything! (Remember – a flow map is a timeline of events! Fire Alarm goes off!
