The bedroom is a place to relax, to share a few quiet moments, unwind and... to sleep away the weariness of a long, hard day. The bedroom design requires more attention as this reflects its user's lifestyle, his practical needs, aesthetic preferences and his dreams. A few tips to make your bedroom better:
The colors can be soft which blend with the room, to give it a harmonious and spacious look.
Lighting can do wonders for your bedroom. Bedroom lighting should have a special treatment, the tone of the light should be warm and cozy.
The television should ideally be in your bedroom, along with your music system. Just make sure your eyes are level with the TV screen to avoid straining your eye muscles.
Windows let in light and are usually a prominent focal point of the room. Decorative window treatments can lend style to rooms. Curtains, which give life to any room.

29. Bathrooms 3 Elements of a Good Bathroom
An entrance transition Create an entrance with a space outside the door -- maybe an alcove off the hallway that gives some privacy from the main rooms or circulation area and with a little room inside the door before reaching the bathroom fixtures.
A good window Natural light and a view to the outside are important in the bathroom. Our first understanding of the weather and the general look of the day comes in the window. Ideally, windows are on at least two sides of the room to provide even daylighting.
Important accessories Light fixtures, towel bars, medicine cabinets, furniture, switch-plate covers, shower doors -- there are hundreds of opportunities to make decisions about these kinds of details in a bathroom. My advice: Keep them simple and straightforward.

37. Activity – Design & Sketch
People spend so much time in their bedrooms and bathrooms yet much of the digital supports focus on living rooms, offices, and kitchens. What are some ways that we can bridge the digital and physical environments in the bedroom or bathroom.
Split into groups of 4 or 5 to design something to augment one of the activities that takes place in one of these rooms.
You will give a short presentation at the end of the class period. In this presentation, identify: 1) What problem is being solved 2) What is being augmented 3) Why and how it is augmented 4) A description of the design, include any necessary sketches
