11 What I expect of your child
Have an open mind about learning a new language and about the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. Be prepared for class. Be on time, be prepared with your materials, be ready to learn and complete your best work. Participate and complete all classroom activities/assignments. They are learning a new language so they are going to make mistakes and that is okay. It will be very difficult to learn and be successful if they don’t complete the work. Be productive and use their class time wisely.

12 What you can expect from me...
I will give my 100% best every day. I will show your child respect as a person and a learner. I will treat your child fairly as humanly possible. I will teach your child about the cultures of Spanish- speaking countries I will integrate technology as much as possible. I will try my best to answer any question that or your child has and help your child to understand the material. I will listen to the wants/needs of your child and I will try my best to accommodate them. I will try to plan fun activities and lessons. I will care about your child as people and students.

13 How can I help my child when I don’t know a lot of Spanish?
Encourage them to study their Quizlet flashcards nightly Give them the English word and they give you the Spanish Encourage them to study for their warm-up quizzes Practice spelling the words Encourage them to self-advocate and use to remind when/if confused with the homework Encourage them to use the resources on google classroom for extra practice/to check their answers
