1 World of animals

2 Lone wolf

3 Wolves are wild animals. They look very much like big domestic dogs
Wolves are wild animals. They look very much like big domestic dogs. Usually wolves are grey with long fluffy tails, their hair is long and thick. Wolves are famous for their strong sharp teeth. They have long enduring legs and big paws. Wolves can live almost anywhere. They can be found in tundra, taiga, and steppe. There are even polar wolves. Wolves are predators and very smart hunters. Depending on the habitat they can feed on rodents, hoofed animals, and birds. In hungry winters wolves often attack livestock and even men. Wolves have great physical strength, endurance and agility. Moreover, they hunt in packs that’s why their attacks are extremely successful. As wolves kill weak and sick animals first they are considered to be forest medics. But because of the danger they pose to people, many species of wolves have been completely wiped out, and many are considered endangered. A wolf is one of the favourite characters of Russian folk tales. Its strength, intelligence and charisma are praised in them.

4 A bear is a true symbol of the wildlife.

5 A bear is a very large and powerful animal well known to anyone
A bear is a very large and powerful animal well known to anyone. They are usually quite furry and can be brown or white (polar bears); even a panda can be called a bear. For a human meeting a bear can be extremely dangerous, but in normal life, they are very calm and quiet, looking for some food and raising their baby-bears. Nevertheless, a mother-bear often avoid leaving its child with a father-bear as it can be quite dangerous too. Depending on a habitat, their diet can vary significantly, but in most cases it consists of fish, roots, berries and other food can be found in a forest (or in a snowy area if we are speaking about white bears). It is very interesting that bears, even if they are grown up, prefer to stay close by to their parents as long as possible. Bears eat a lot in the summer and autumn to gain weight (mainly fat) to survive in winter, when it is impossible to eat regularly.

6 Crocodile is a predatory animal.

7 Some crocodiles can be up to 5 metres long and live up to 80-100 years
Some crocodiles can be up to 5 metres long and live up to years. Most of their time crocodiles spend in water. Their eyes and nostrils are located right on the top of their head. This allows them to hide under water. Crocodile has 4 short legs and a long tail. When a crocodile swims it moves with its tail from one side to another. Crocodiles have very sharp teeth. Their senses of hearing and vision are well-developed. Even though most of their time crocodiles spend in water, they feel comfortable on land too. Crocodiles are slow butthey can movequite far away from water. If it is necessary crocodiles can survive without any food for up to 1-1,5 years.  Crocodiles represent a real danger to human beings. Crocodiles’ skin is very valuable. It is widely used in manufacturing ofclothes, shoes and bags. The colour of crocodile’s skin can vary from greenish to brown shades. There are also crocodiles whose skin is black.
