Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference

Day 1 - What impact can kindness have?
Watch the following clip: What impact can kindness have? Sometimes something really small can mean something really big to someone else. Discuss this with your group.

Day 2 – How important is kindness?
No act of kindness is too small. The gift of kindness may start as a small ripple that over time can turn into a tidal wave affecting the lives of many. What do you think this means? What was the last kind thing that someone did for you? What was the last kind thing you did? Give the learners one of the RAK stories to talk about and discuss.

Day 3 – What can kindness do?
Kindness changes... We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Charlie Chaplin ( ) Comedic Actor, Filmmaker, Writer

Day 4 – What can you do? Watch this video Everyday kindness
How many acts of kindness did you see? How many do you think YOU could do? Ask all the learners to make a kindness pledge – it could be something simple that they do such as holding open a door for someone or offering to carry something for a teacher… it could be to give flowers or a cake to an elderly neighbour… they could make cups of tea for an older sibling who is studying. They should write their pledge on the hearts provided which will become a wall of kindness either in the form rooms or in school somewhere.
