2. The sun
Believe it or not the sun is a star. It is very big and very far away. The sun is like a giant fire ball its mostly made of gases. And it has 99.86% of the mass in the entire solar system.

3. Mercury
Mercury is the closest to the sun and is the smallest planet. And is 36 million miles away from earth. Mercury moves at 107,373 mph. Its surface is full of craters.also And only two space craft have landed on mercury.

4. Venus
Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system .it can even be seen from earth in the day.
Venus has a lot of volcanos over a million to be exact.
Venus is kind of similar to earth because it has mountains on its surface.

5. Earth Ps it’s the only planet with jack in the box yeah!
Earth is the only planet that has life on it is surface.it only has 1 moon. And has 21% oxygen. And it’s the only planet to have water.

6. mars
Mars has a nickname the red planet. Mars has the largest mountain in the solar system.
It stretches more than 15 miles high. Its 141 million miles from the sun. and the tempeture there is -67 Fahrenheit. Some people believe there's life on mars.

7. Jupiter
Jupiter is the biggest planet it is also the first gas giant.it is the stormiest planet in the solar system and the is a permanent hurricane there the size of earth! This is called the red spot.

8. Saturn
Saturn is a beautiful planet with its rings. Witch is made of ice and rock and dust. Saturn has many moons including titan the second largest moon in the solar system. And is the only moon with an atmosphere.

9. Uranus
Uranus is the smallest gas giant but don’t let that fool you. It is much much bigger than earth. The center is a frozen mass of methane and ammonia. That is why it is a blueish greenish color and a lot of people believe it is spinning on its side.

10. Neptune
Neptune is the farthest planet from the sun it is a gas giant. Made of hydrogen and helium the weather is active with homages storms. With winds that can reach 1,342 mph. Also Neptune has 14 moons.

11. Pluto
Pluto used to be a planet from 1930 to 2006 but then it was considered a dwarf planet. Pluto is in the Kuiper belt. Pluto has a big moon Charon since its so big Pluto and Charon are considered double dwarf planets.
