Context & Sustainability
As you consider next steps: Case load? Number on probation/difficulty? Goals? Outcomes? Dept. resources? (1) Caseload - How many students do you work with? What is a sustainable amount you can do for those students? (2) Number on PRB or in difficulty – if this is a lower number, then maybe calls and direct contact are best approaches. (3) Goals / Outcomes – what is it you would want for your population of students in difficulty to know, learn, do, etc? (4) Dept resources – this includes financial resources as well as what wealth of staff, student connections, work options, etc are possibilities to draw from as you support these students.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION – what markers can the audience offer that they feel indicates a student struggling?

What is a “Case Manager”?
Core functions Works with students in “crisis” Hospital Liaison Connect students to campus resources Coordinate transitions to/from CSU Assist students and families with internal procedures (withdrawal, appeals, etc.) Should be a quick list since Case Mgmt will have another 30min.
