Explain what this parable teaches about sin and punishment.
Old Testament Nathan’s Parable David is angered by the wrong of the scene in the parable, showing that scene is clearly wrong The parable shows David how he has sinned; like the rich man, he is guilty of wrong doing against God and other people Such a scene cannot go unpunished; David says that the man in the parable deserves to die C Explain what this parable teaches about sin and punishment. Because David recognises his guilt he can repent Because of the seriousness of David ‘s sin the punishment is severe; it is retribution The sin is even worse in this case since David had been given everything and had no need, yet he still committed this terrible sin ADJ
