D-Safe Reference Photo
With the addition of the XT Camera it is required that we provide a reference photo to the reporting agency so that the photos from the reports can be verified. In order to do this we need to obtain a photo from the camera installed in the client’s vehicle at the time of install. To accomplish this, you will install the interlock and camera as normal, and then have the client sit in the driver’s seat and take a breath test this will trigger the camera to capture and image. After this has been accomplished you will need to perform a monitor check in order to upload the image from the camera to their computer. You will then open the client on the Client-Information page in D-safe.

Once you have open the data folder you will need to locate the file you just downloaded to your computer. The files are named with the Client ID before the underscore (in this case Demo Unit). There should only be one folder for this vehicle since the Client ID was just created. Open that folder.

The image that was captured by the camera should be the only file here unless you captured more than one image by giving more than one sample. Select the image and click “Open”. A upload box will open and once complete you will be able to see the image in D-Safe. The image is now saved to D-Safe.

The image should clearly show the client’s face, the client cannot wear anything that will obstruct the view of their face for this photo (i.e. sunglasses or hats). Below are unacceptable client images.
