10 Existing geographic data, USA – Census variables
Thousands of additional census variables are available for download in tabular format at the block group, tract, and county level: income gender educational attainment employment means of transportation ancestry marital / family status military service These are all mappable by downloading the tables, and doing a Table Join to the associated blockgroup, tract, county, zip code, state, etc. GIS layer.

~12 million businesses locations for each year, 2006 – 2015 In GIS format, available to all Harvard affiliates. Attributes include company name, sales volume, number of employees, and NAICS code. North American Industry Classification System A 6 digit code that classifies business types e.g.:   = Bowling alleys

18 Resource: ESRI Business Analyst Data (U.S.A.)
Yearly updates on over 9,000 demographic and consumer survey variables, block group level. Demographic: Age, race, gender, educational attainment, occupation, income, etc. Consumer survey – amount spent on: alcoholic beverages, dining out, books, medical care, grocery stores, vitamin/dietary supplements, cigarettes, prescription drug for asthma, vitamin D, entertainment/recreation/exercise equipment.
