Evolutionary computing
The 2009 class was taught more “applied” and project/homework oriented  more time was allocated in lectures to discuss projects and homework problems and for in-class-homeworks
The 2009 teaching centered more on depth than on breadthless topics were coved in 2009.

2. AI in General and What Was not Covered in COSC 6368
Robotics is a quite important sub-field of AI, but very few teach it in the graduate AI class.
Planning deserves some coverage.
Intelligent Agents and AI for the Internet might become more important changing what is taught in graduate AI-classes in a few years from now.
Data Mining was not covered due to the fact that a course on this topic will be offered in Fall 2009.
Knowledge-based systems deserve some coverage.
Foundations of AI was not covered (we were just running out of time)
