1 Poetry Blog Requirements

2 How to Start: Write about how you are feeling.
How are you feeling about creating a poetry blog/Portfolio? How are you feeling about being creative? What idea or concept stood out to you most when you watched the “how to be Creative video? What has your past experience been? Do you think that you can keep an open mind?

3 Station 1: Transform Spoken Word Poetry
Listen to a spoken word poem. Choose a sentence or word or phrase to sketchnote. Watch the video about how to sketchnote. Choose a poem from the playlist to listen to. Transform 1 line or sentence from the poem into a visual sketchnote. You may pause and start the video as needed, being respectful of your classmates.

4 Station 2: Combine Magnetic poetry: Use the words provided to play with different sentences. Create a phrase or poem that is meaningful to you. 1. Use the magnetic poetry provided. 2. Build sentences and match the words to create a short poem. 3. Take a photo of your poem.

5 Station 3: Transform Found Poetry Choose a book from the table.
Tear a page from the book Read the page. Highlight or circle words, phrases, or sentences that are meaningful to you. Combine them to create a unique and creative poem.

6 Station 4: Combine Book Spine Poetry
1. Explore the library shelves, select a spine that grabs your attention. 2. Try to find five more spines that fit together with your first choice. 3. Pile them to create a meaningful poem.

7 Station 5: Transform Found Poetry Choose magazines from the table.
Cut out words, images or phrases that are meaningful to you and create a poem. Create a mood in your poem Combine them to create a mood poem.

8 Station 6: Combine Tech Tool Poetry
Choose an App: Pic Collage, Bend, or instant poetry 2. Write a poem that at least 6 lines that is inspired by a picture. Include figurative language. Add anything else that you think will enhance the imagery of the poem.

9 How to End: Reflect on what you wrote before you started
What has changed since you completed your blog/Portfolio? What do you think about creativity now? What are you most proud of? Please fill out a Poetry Blog self assessment sheet, take a photo and post it on your blog. Hand in your blog in the hand in folder with a link to your blog
