1 Mrs. Hake’s Friday, Jan. 6th edition CLASSROOM news Sneak Peak Week in Review: at Next Week This week we learned all about ice, mittens, jackets, and snow. We sorted buttons by size, used buttons with letters on them to make words, made mittens with rhyming words, wrote about our jackets, and made earmuffs with missing addends. We loved matching mittens with pictures to clips with the word on them and playing in snow. It is January so it is time to refill Small treasures such as pencils, erasers, birthday party favors, bubbles, etc. Play dough Ziploc bags – snack , sandwich, and gallon size Practice writing numbers and words in the snow Watch the phases of matter- make ice, boil water to see the steam, etc. Make a snowman and create your own sequencing activity with pictures or drawings Have a scavenger hunt using positions words Count to 100 by ones, fives, and tens Find things that rhyme with snow, hat, cold, etc. Keep reading!
