THE MOST IMPORTANT GRADUATION
2
Hebrews 1:1-3 “1Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2For by it the men of old gained approval. 3By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.”
3
FAITH GRADUATION
4
Definition of FAITH: Vs.1= FAITH is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
5
FAITH has to be approved:
Vs.2= For by it the men of old gained approval.
6
FAITH IS A SPIRITUAL SUBJECT THAT REQUIRES APPROVAL FROM GOD BEFORE HE CAN RELEASE THE REWARD OF THE FAITH. WHAT IS THE REWARD OF THE FAITH? It may be a promise, a blessing, or anything that the faith got approval for.
7
FAITH CAN BRING DIVINE RESOURCES DOWN
Vs.3= By FAITH we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.”
8
WHAT KIND OF FAITH IS THAT?
It is the kind that focus on God’s resources which may be invisible at the time the FAITH starts off to believe. ALL VISIBLE THINGS IN THE UNIVERSE STARTED LIKE THAT: THEY WERE MADE OF THE INVISIBLE THINGS ONLY KNOWN TO GOD.
9
The secret: PLEASE TO RELEASE
10
The FASTEST way to your blessing:
Please Him with your faith and be approved.
11
GOD’S CHILDREN HAVE TO GRADUATE FROM THE SCHOOL OF FAITH TO PLEASE HIM
GOD’S CHILDREN HAVE TO GRADUATE FROM THE SCHOOL OF FAITH TO PLEASE HIM.(Heb. 11:6) “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”
12
WE ARE ALL AT GOD’S SCHOOL LEARNING THE SUBJECT OF FAITH THAT PLEASES HIM AND RELEASES DIVINE RESOURCES AND PROMISES. GOD IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO SEEK HIM AND BELIEVE IN HIM. WE ALL ARE EXPECTED TO GRADUATE!
13
GOD’s approval RELEASED the resources and the reward to ABEL
11:4 By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained the testimony that he was righteous; God approved his gifts, and through faith, though he is dead, he still speaks.
14
Let’s learn a lesson with Teacher ABEL
How ABEL obtained God’s approval that he was righteous? He wanted to be seen as a RIGHTEOUS man by God. He offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain; He initiated that action by faith He was bold to believe in God God approved his gifts, and through faith, though he is dead, he still speaks.
15
GOD’s approval RELEASED the resources and the promise or reward to ENOCH
5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; and he was not found because God took him up; for he obtained the testimony that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God.
16
Let’s learn a lesson with Teacher ENOCH
How ENOCH obtained God’s approval to not see death? He wanted to be taken up and not see death. BEFORE he was taken up he gained the testimony that he was pleasing God By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death He was creative in his faith: he was able to believe in raptures
17
GOD’s approval RELEASED the resources and the promise or reward to NOAH
7By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
18
Let’s learn a lesson with Teacher NOAH
How NOAH obtained God’s approval to become an heir of the righteousness? He wanted to be accepted by God as a righteous man in a corrupted and violent Society. He believed God about things not yet seen just because God warned him By faith he obeyed God and did what He told him to do even though it seemed a CRAZY thing to do. Had he not believed, God would not have been able to judge the world at the time. He was creative in his faith: he believed in rain (water coming down from the skies)
19
GOD’s approval RELEASED the resources and the promise or reward to ABRAHAM
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; 10 for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
20
Let’s learn a lesson with Teacher ABRAHAM
How ABRAHAM obtained God’s approval to receive an inheritance from God? God’s inheritance for Abraham was a city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. He obeyed God and lefthis family place to go to the place God told him to go, even though it didn’t exist yet (he was seeing the invisible). He did that by FAITH.
21
Let’s learn a lesson with Teacher ABRAHAM
How ABRAHAM obtained God’s approval to receive an inheritance from God? He lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; He went through all of that only by FAITH for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. Rom. 4:18ss
22
GOD’s approval RELEASED the resources and the promise or reward to SARAH
11 By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore there was born even of one man, and him as good as dead at that, as many descendants as the stars of heaven in number, and innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.
23
LET’S LEARN A LESSON WITH TEACHER SARAH
She could not in any human way to conceive because she was 90 years old and her husband was 100. She received ability to conceive totally by faith. That happened because she considered GOD faithful who had promised. And she received her promise.
24
Approval RELEASED the resources and the promise or reward to JOSEPH
22 By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the exodus of the sons of Israel, and gave orders concerning his bones.
25
LET’S LEARN A LESSON WITH TEACHER JOSEPH
He knew and believed that God would visit His people and take then to the Promised Land. He was dying and realized that would not happen during his life time. By faith he prophesied about the exodus of the sons of Israel, and gave orders concerning his bones. He knew he would have to be buried in Egypt and he commanded Israel to take his bones with it to the Promised Land.
26
Approval RELEASED the resources and the promise or reward to MOSES
Approval RELEASED the resources and the promise or reward to MOSES 24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, 25 choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, 26 considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. 27By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen.
27
LET’S LEARN A LESSON WITH TEACHER MOSES
LET’S LEARN A LESSON WITH TEACHER MOSES A grown up Moses, with all chances to become a Pharaoh in Egypt, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Instead he chose to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin; He considered the reproach of Christ (persecution) greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. He left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen. He did all by FAITH alone.
28
APPROVED FAITH BRINGS REWARDS
39 And all these, having gained approval through their faith… Through the lives of these people we learn that our FAITH needs to gain God’s approval. We have to graduate from this Course.
29
TO GAIN THE APPROVAL= TO PLEASE GOD
6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. TO GAIN THE APPROVAL= TO PLEASE GOD
