2. Assembly Rig Design and Build Receive frame and rails
Assemble and pre align
Survey in Bldg 154
Use to QA inner cylinder and 1st space frame

3. Receiving Assembly Rig
Assembly rig was design and procurred from RAL
Most of the assembly was received in July at CERN

5. Pre alignment in 154
In Aug and Sept the pre alignment was performed in 154
The rails and center axis did not arrive until late Sept.
The pre alignment was completed last week.
Survey is occurring this week

6. Mounting of rails The rails consist of a 3 piece Al angle
And a Stainless Steel angle that has been chrome plated. This will be the main contact surface

7. Summary of Assembly Rig
Assembly Rig will be ready in 154 in mid Oct for acceptance tests for IC and 1st space frame
After acceptance tests the Assembly rig will be moved to SR 1 and realigned.
The assembly rig will be available and ready for final assembly of spool in Dec 2003 in SR 1

8. Inner Cylinder Receive Cylinder Ready the cylinder for measurement
Mfg tooling for measurement
Perform QA of Cylinder
Apply shielding material

9. Mounting Flanges
A center hub will be machined along with three mounting bars
Also threaded holes need to be added around the face of the circumference for the diameter adjustment

10. Inner Cylinder Status Delivery to Cern late Oct 2003
Tooling for mounting to be complete Oct 15
Hand tooling for some measurements to be complete in Oct
Need to schedule CERN survey group as soon as delivery date is known

11. Space Frames Receive 1st end frame Ready for measurement
Mfg tooling for QA
Perform QA
Apply shielding material
Receive 2nd end frame
Repeat above

12. Space Frame Status Delivery of 1st space frame early Nov 2003
Discussions with CERN Survey group completed in June and July
Tooling for QA and survey to be completed in Oct
CERN survey will be scheduled for mid Nov

13. Assembly of Spool Receive and Approve IC and Space frames
Relocate Rig to SR 1 and align
Dry mount on Assembly Rig
Alignment Check, Survey and Adjust
Fasten IC to Space Frames
Connect Faraday Shielding
Bond IC to Space Frames

14. Spool Status
Schedule revolves around delivery of 2nd space frame. Currently early Dec 2003
Spool will be ready in SR 1 ~ 6 weeks (holidays?) after delivery of 2nd space frame
