3 Introduction Both closed source software and open source software have benefits, but which one is more useful? compare them in terms of their cost, innovation, usability and security. Actor Network Theory

4 Theorotical Approach and Social Background
Walli et al. observe [19]: “Organizations are saving millions of dollars on IT by using open source software. In 2004, open source software saved large companies (with annual revenue of over $1 billion) an average of $3.3 million. Medium-sized companies (between $50 million and $1 billion in annual revenue) saved an average $1.1 million. Firms with revenues under $50 million saved an average $520,000.” By analyzing this notation, we can understand that, for companies, open source software is more beneficial but we know that closed source software's advantages are more than open source software's advantages in personal. If we examine this case individually, closed source software is more advantageous but for companies closed source software can cost millions, that is why for companies, open source software is more advantageous.

5 Open source software seems more advantageous than closed source software in the way of innovation, but if you examine them deeply you can find that actually closed source software is more advantageous. If we examine the comparison between open source software and closed source software in the lights of service facilities we can find that open source software has an online user community to provide support with forums and blogs but this support may fail and it will not work in all devices

10 Conclusion Open source software and closed source software have different features in terms of maintenance, service and expense. Due to, open source software’s accessibility and cost, it is preferred by users. Otherwise, close source software is favored by corporations since it matches with their working model.
