In this scenario, we are assuming that the partner is using SQL 2016 with Windows Server 2016 on a 40U server rack running 100 OLAP database. Partner would offer premium Performance Tuning service and premium security-related consulting services. No cloud services is assumed.
Partner Opportunity
Infrastructure markup: To offer this scenario, this premium hosting partner purchases Windows Server and SQL 2016 licenses for 40 servers, totally 1920 cores.
Value-add Services: In this example a Value-add Service for Performance Tuning is included at $2,500 per month, basic security-related consulting at $2,500 per month and scalability analysis service at $1,000 per month. All Value-add Services profitability calculations assume a 40% gross margin.
