June 1, 2008: PureEdge (PE) Opportunities NEW Posting Cutoff Date September 30, 2008: PE Application Submission Cutoff Date September 30, 2008: IHS Transitioned to Adobe for Posting Opportunities and Application Submission packages. June 30, 2009: 2006 PE System Retired An Adobe solution was originally chosen because it was an industry standard and forms developed by Grants.gov and by agencies as attachments would leverage the value of Adobe reader for applicants. The Adobe system was deployed on 9/4/2007, delayed by factors including additional requirements to address the complexity of a transition and Adobe versioning issues. Adobe versioning issues are addressed in release Grants.gov is aggressively pursuing formal participation in the Adobe Reader beta testing group so Reader versioning can be managed. Forthcoming Builds will address the most uncomfortable usability issues, namely, search bugs, form display issues, and xml transfer issues.
