Sent home every Monday in homework binder, to be returned Friday. Math pages pulled from book will be daily.

10. New! Thinking Maps!
Our school is participating in Thinking Maps training this year. We are excited to implement this great program with all students K-6!
Thinking Maps help students communicate their thinking and are based on 8 cognitive skills: Brainstorming, Describing, Classifying, Sequencing, Comparing and Contrasting, Cause and Effect, Whole to Part Relationships, and Making Analogies.

11. Assessments
DIBELS = Dynamic Indicator of Basic Early Literacy Skills ~ Determines basic reading ability and diagnoses reading strengths and/or needs. Given 3 times each year.
Galileo Assessments for Math and Reading ~ 1 test per quarter: pre-test, test 1, test 2, post test
