When: July 9-16, 2017 (tentative) Where: West Virginia or Western Virginia (specific site TBD) Cost: $350 per person – Scholarships available for all ages

Year-round presence in Central Appalachia (26 centers in KY, NC, TN, VA, WV)
17,000 volunteers repair 650 homes each year Since 1969, over 17,000 homes repaired for poor, elderly or disabled residents

Volunteer Experience Housing:
Public sites (schools, community centers, etc.) – details depend on site Meals prepared by local staff Work teams of 7 (2 adults/5 youth or 5-7 adults) dispersed to individual homes Light construction work – materials/tools provided

Typical Work Day 7:00-8 am Rise & shine, devotions, breakfast
8:30-4:30 pm Work day (Noon lunch break at the work site) 5-6 pm Crew check-in 6-7 pm Dinner 7-10 pm Center cleanup, Evening Gathering, free time 10:30-11 pm Quiet time 11 pm Lights-out
