ELA I, II, & III EOC Blueprints
January 6, 2017 TO THE DISTRICT AND ESC TESTING COORDINATOR ADDRESSED: SUBJECT: STAAR Short Answer Reading Questions Please DO NOT reply to this . The purpose of this is to inform you that beginning with the March 2017 administration, the short answer reading questions will be removed from the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) English I, English II, and English III assessments and replaced with multiple choice questions. This change is in an effort to better align with the STAAR grades 3–8 assessments, and does not affect the overall difficulty of the test, nor does it affect the passing standard. Revised blueprints for these assessments will be posted to the student assessment section of the TEA website as soon as they are available. Please call the Student Assessment Division at (512) if you have any questions about this information

A-F Accountability Poverty Charts
John Wink created charts to reflect the data from the TEA A-F Accountability document. The A-F rating system results are basically a bell curve and reflect the impact of poverty on the ratings. Charts are attached. Mr. Wink has these accessible on his website and has given permission for others to use and share.
