7 Report Cards - Progress Reports
Report cards are issued every 9 weeks. Please sign and return the report card jacket the following school day. Progress reports are issued every 4 ½ weeks in the Tuesday folders. Please sign and return on Wednesday.

9 Textbooks/Curriculum
All children have access to textbooks in the classroom; however, seldom will a textbook be sent home. KISD follows the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) Plan as a second grade team Emphasizing memorizing math facts and reading an average of 15 minutes nightly.

16 Homework Child’s responsibility to do the assigned homework.
Read every night for 15 minutes. Math homework M-TH No homework on Fridays! 

17 Tuesday Folders Please remove everything from the Tuesday folder.
Sign and return the weekly Tuesday Report. Return other papers as needed.

18 Absences Call the office (832-484-6113) by 9:45.
Send written note on the first day back. See online student handbook for additional information.

19 Visitor’s Pass Please do not forget to sign in at the main office and get a pass before entering the instructional areas. We will be requesting that you return to the office for a pass if one is not visible.

20 Transportation Please send a written note if your child if going home a different way than usual. OR call the attendance office, , and notify attendance of any changes.

21 Book Orders Book Orders go home once a month.
Can give the order to teacher or can order online Anderson’s online code: GZY28 Norton’s online code: Q2HYR Books arrive in 2 weeks.

22 Brill Spirit Day Every FRIDAY is spirit day! 
School shirts may be purchased at the school store on Tuesday & Thursday for $12.00. Spirit Sticks $1.00
