8th Grade Final Preface – Mr. Pistell has been summoned for Jury Duty in Jamaica, Queens and is performing his civic duties. He should be back tomorrow! Sorry for not being here! Today, in your 2 periods, the goal is to mostly finish the final exam. Tomorrow, on Thursday, you MUST finish.

8th Grade Final This final exam is designed as a simulation of the science state test. You will complete: 40 Multiple Choice Questions 35 Free Response Questions (A total of 75 questions, between Wed and Thurs) (The real test is = 85, in 2 hours)

Rules NO TALKING THIS IS AN INDIVIDUAL TEST FULL SCREEN THE TEST
If you want to revisit a question tomorrow, put a star next to it so you know what to look at again Skip any questions you are confused by – I will be back tomorrow No internet or notes No “Top 100” until the last 10 minutes of the period

Tips for Success You will start today, study overnight, and finish tomorrow In the last 10 minutes of each class period today, you may use your top 100 packet for anything you got stuck on (but not the whole period. Trust your instincts!)

Upcoming Schedule 801 – You are essentially ready for the state test. Tomorrow you will finish this final and grade it. Friday, we will try to fill in any last gaps in your knowledge. 802 – You are almost ready for the state test. Tomorrow we will finish the final after I give you a few more notes. On Friday, we fill in any remaining gaps in your knowledge.

Most of you have been working very hard. Every. Single. Day. We’re almost there! Only 3 more days of hard work until our state test.
