2 Mite Count Follow-up Fall mite counts Did your mite treatment work?
Do you need a follow-up treatment? If you didn’t treat, is the mite population exploding?

3 Building Up Stores for Winter
Inspect your hives – see what is going on inside Rotate hive bodies if necessary Brood in the bottom, top body filled with honey Need approx. 60 pounds of honey for a full hive in this region If you need to feed them, feed 2:1 sugar syrup Add Honey-B-Healthy or ProHealth – additional homemade recipes online Target for winter – November 1

4 Preparing the Hive Remove excess space or combine
Wax moths & other creatures Entrance reducer and/or mouse guards Ventilation – Allow the hive to vent “Wet bees are dead bees!” Create wind block if necessary Secure your outer covers – straps or bricks Close bottom board – Once it is consistently below 55 °F.

5 Emergency Feed Mountain Camp Method
