Below are some simple instructions on how to use this template:
1. You can change the text in the graphical screen above or in the outline area to the left. 2. There is one default background that is indicated by “ ” .This slide acts as a space or a blank screen, use to clear or blank the screen. If you have a large graphic such as a map you could also use this screen. If you insert a new slide you will get this default background.
3. The first five slides have the other backgrounds for the set. To use more than one of these background types in your presentation highlight the one you wish to use and choose copy from the edit menu. Paste this slide where you want it to appear in your presentation, then change the text on this new slide. By copy/pasting the slide in this manor you will keep the background, text formatting and the customized animation from that slide. 2. The Importance of the Virgin Birth (continued)

3. 1) To be our Savior by paying the penalty for our sins as a like kind sacrifice - humanity.

4. 2) To be born like Adam was created spiritually alive, without a sin nature, qualified to be the perfect sacrifice.

5. 3) To be impeccable – the spotless sacrifice.

6. 4) To be the mediator between God and man.

7. The Lord Jesus Christ is both true humanity and undiminished deity in one person forever. “Hypostatic Union”

8. Whoever is the mediator between God and man must be equal with both parties.

9. Sin caused an estrangement between God and man
Sin caused an estrangement between God and man. To repair that relationship, a Mediator was required.

10. Job 9:32-33, “For He (God) is not a man as I am that I may answer Him, that we may go to court together. There is no umpire between us, who may lay his hand upon us both.”

11. Jesus Christ’s mediation is the combined function of His work as Prophet and Priest. As Prophet, Christ represents God to man. As Priest, Jesus represents man to God.

12. In His priestly office, Jesus offered a sacrifice which answered the demands of Divine justice and the uttermost need of the hopeless sinner. 1 Tim 2:5‑6; Heb 2:18; 9:15

13. 1 Tim 2:5‑6, “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.”

14. 5) To be our High Priest who intercedes on our behalf.

15. Now seated at the right hand of the Father in His humanity, our great High Priest makes intercession for us daily. Rom 8:34; Heb 4:14-15; 7:25-28; 9:24; 1 John 2:1

16. 1 John 2:1, “My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”

17. Heb 7:25, “Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

18. He intercedes to assist us in our prayer life, to justify us before God, especially when Satan accuses us before God. Rev 12:10

21. The first prophecy of the virgin birth is found in Gen 3:15‑16, the establishment of the Angelic Conflict.

22. The Jewish prophecy of the virgin birth is found in Isa 7:14, 9:6-7.

23. Isa 7:14, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel. (God is with us)”

24. The historical fulfillment of the virgin birth, Mat 1:19‑25.

25. 8) The results of the Virgin Birth are also found in: John 1:14; Rom 1:3; 1 Tim 3:16; Heb 2:14; Phil 2:5‑11.
