Science – This week we will be talking about polar bears and walruses. We will continue to talk about the features of a nonfiction book while discussing facts about these animals. We will also compare these animals using a Venn diagram. We will use what we learn in science to make a nonfiction book about polar bears during writing class.

This week in math we will continue talking about 3D shapes. We will also investigate combinations of numbers as we arrange tiles and explore different ways a set of two-color counters can land!
Author Study
This week we will continue our author study by Jan Brett. We will read the books Trouble with Trolls and Hedgie’s Surprise.
