Let Your Conduct be Worthy of Christ Why would Paul rejoice? How would Paul be delivered? What would result from his deliverance? Why would Paul live? Because he would be delivered from the testing. Through prayer and the Spirit’s supply. Christ would be magnified in him by life or death. Because it was more helpful for other believers.

Only – Above all else Let – a polite command Your conduct – how you live Be worthy – to live in a way that is fitting Of the Gospel of Jesus Christ – the good news that Jesus has redeemed all sinners who trust in Him

So that I may hear of your affairs So that – result Whether I come and see you or am absent That you stand fast That – what Paul would hear In one spirit (like you have one spirit)

So that I may hear of your affairs That you stand fast Striving together Result – so that you strive together With one mind (in what manner) For the faith of the Gospel (Purpose) – in order that the faith be maintained
