2 Animals live in environments or habitats
Animals live in environments or habitats. The habitat provides everything that an animal needs to survive. All living things need air, water, food, and space to live. Animals also need ways to stay safe.

3 What are the different types of habitats?
One habitat is the ocean. It has salt water and is large and deep. It has lots of plants and animals.

4 Another type of habitat is the desert. A desert is very dry

Polar regions are a habitat with a lot of snow and ice. They are very cold.

7 How do animals live in their habitats ?
Animals have body parts and behaviors that help keep them safe. They help them to find food, too.

8 Different Animals In Their Environment
A camel’s hump stores fat so it can stay alive for the long journey in the desert without food and water. Bears hibernate or sleep for a very long time to stay alive for long winters. Snow rabbits are white in the winter and brown in the summer to be able to hide easily. Frogs have a long tongue to catch and feed on their prey.

9 Camouflage Animals use tricks to hide themselves. Using colors and patterns to hide is called camouflage. Some animals have a color or shape that helps them to look like things in their environment. Some animals look like other dangerous animals to scare off their enemies. The king snake looks like the dangerous coral snake. Coral Snake King Snake
