Design Brief Situation
Homeowners worry about the potential for burglary. A good security system can keep their home safe from unwelcome intruders. Brief Using the BBC micro:bit, create a working door access security system. The system must use sensors to detect an intruder and sound an alarm when this happens. It must also be possible for the homeowner to reset the system as needed. Teacher may wish to recap the original brief before continuing with this activity.

Developing your Program Further
You are now going to develop and improve your alarm system. Try to make at least two improvements to your system based on what would deter burglars the most. Think about any extra inputs or outputs that you could add. Improve the program as needed. Suggestions for what improvements students could make are contained in the teacher lesson plan document, but they should try to identify their own.
