The name of the legendary son of Telamon king of Salamis. There is no J in Greek - his name was Aias. He has come from earlier Mycenaean warrior traditions, and was absorbed into the Greeks in the Iliad even though he came from an earlier century.

In Greek mythology, Midas was the king of Pessinus. He was the adopted son of Gordias and Cybele and is popularly remembered for his ability to turn everything he touched into gold
