6. Medical Technologies Overall expectations
Conventional and alternative medical technologies and therapies are used to diagnose and treat human health conditions
Medical technologies provide a variety of information that can be analyzed and used for information about the human body.

7. Pathogens and Disease
Pathogens cause specific types of diseases and their spread can be controlled in a variety of ways.
Scientific and technological knowledge and individual behavior impacts the control of pathogens and the prevention of disease.
Distribute the curriculum documents which will outline specific objectives for knowledge, skills and STSE in all the 5 strands of workplace 12. In breakout groups, have participants brainstorm where they can gather more information or ideas that will help them to deliver the workplace curriculum in a meaningful way.
Emphasize that this is an important way of sharing ideas among the group since there is no ‘textbook’ available by the publishers for this course.

Food is composed of distinct chemical components and contains specific amounts of energy and is digested by a particular process.

Investigate various techniques used in biotechnology and how they are applied in the food industry and the health and agricultural sectors
