1 Graphics Tablet

2 Graphics Tablet is a computer input device that allows one to hand-draw images and graphics, similar to the way one draws images with a pencil and paper. These tablets may also be used to capture data or handwritten signatures.

3 it consists of a flat surface upon which the user may “draw” an image using an attached stylus, a pen-like drawing apparatus. The image generally does not appear on the tablet itself but, rather, is displayed on the computer monitor. Some tablets however, come as a functioning secondary computer screen that you can interact directly using the stylus.

6 Hard Disk Drives

7 The hard drive, also called the hard disk or fixed disk, is the primary storage unit of the computer. It is always labeled the C drive. Additional drives are labeled after it as the D, E, F, etc. It has several read/write heads that read and record data magnetically on platters, a stack of rotating disks inside the hard drive.

9 Roles of the Hard Disk Drive in your Computer System
Performance Storage Capacity Reliability

10 Hard Disk Drive Interfaces
An interface is a hardware or software data transmission regulator that manages the exchange of data between a hard disk drive and a computer. Interfaces are contained in the electronics of the data transfer controller and the drive.

11 Small Computer System Interface (SCSI)
is widely used in mid- to high- performance workstations and servers it is the most commonly used interface in Desktop PCs

12 Advanced Technology Attachment (ATA)
also known as IDE, Parallel ATA, PATA and ATAPI (Advanced Technology Attachment Packet Interface) Parallel ATA only allows cable lengths up to 18 in (457 mm). Because of this length limit the technology normally appears as an internal computer storage interface. For many years ATA provided the most common and the least expensive interface for this application. By the beginning of 2007, it had largely been replaced by Serial ATA (SATA) in new systems.

13

14 Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA)
Used for connecting host bus adapters to mass storage devices such as hard disk drives and optical drives.

15 Serial ATA was designed to replace the older ATA (AT Attachment) standard (EIDE).
Reduced cable-bulk and cost ( from 40 wires to 7), faster and more efficient data transfer and hot swapping.

16 Fibre Channel-Arbitrated Loop (FC-AL)
is designed for high-bandwidth high-end systems and transfers data in the serial mode. This interface is more expensive than the SCSI interface. is a highly-reliable gigabit interconnect cable that improves performance in storage, processors, and workstations. It allows Point-to-Point concurrent communications among servers, workstations, data storage systems, and other peripherals using SCSI, Ethernet, ATM, HIPPI, IP and IP protocols.

18 Compact Disc (CD) is an optical disc used to store digital data. It was originally developed to store sound recordings exclusively, but later it also allowed the preservation of other types of data. Audio CDs have been commercially available since October In 2010, they remain the standard physical storage medium for audio. Standard CDs have a diameter of 120 mm and can hold up to 80 minutes of uncompressed audio (700 MB of data). The Mini CD has various diameters ranging from 60 to 80 mm; they are sometimes used for CD singles or device drivers, storing up to 24 minutes of audio.

21 Power Supply is the component that supplies power to the other components in a computer. More specifically, a power supply unit is typically designed to convert general-purpose alternating current (AC) electric power from the mains ( V in North America, parts of South America, Japan, and Taiwan; V in most of the rest of the world) to usable low-voltage DC power for the internal components of the computer. Some power supplies have a switch to change between 230 V and 115 V. Other models have automatic sensors that switch input voltage automatically, or are able to accept any voltage between those limits.
