3 Edessa The County of Edessa was separated from all the other countries of the Crusades. Edessa was home to Baldwin II and his army

4 Antioch Antioch was located just south of Edessa and was home to the Byzantine Empire. It was captured by the Seljuks in 1085

5 Tripoli Tripoli is south of Antioch found in present day Syria
It was home to Bertrand of Toulouse It was created in 1109

6 Acre Acre is South of Tripoli located in Western Galilee
It was ruled by Arab Caliphates It was the main port of the eastern Mediterranean since 1170

7 Jerusalem Jerusalem is south of Acre and the last of the five main Countries/Sites of the Crusades This was considered the holy land to all Christians, Muslims, and Jews
