Absence of appropriate and sustainable information system and database.
Lack of communications, notification and attendance for training.
Removal of employees from the HR payroll upon termination of contacts also results in the complete removal of the contact details.
The inability for data capturers to capture information simultaneously.
Lack of a reliable and easy means of connecting clients to various skilled workers.
Lack of an official means of tracking the work experience of skilled workers.

4. The Need:
A software platform which connects the client in need of local informal skill services in a safe, efficient and reliable environment.
It acts as a tool in providing potential job opportunities for local informal skilled and semi-skilled labourers and increasing their chances of employability.
Provides a continuous database for the eThekwini Municipality. By acquiring and capturing data to make informed decisions and calculated risks

5. Our Solution: Worker Bee
An App which acts as a platform which connects informal workers with people in need of their service in a safe and efficient environment. Thus creating a continuous database which can be leveraged by eThekwini Municipality in understanding the patterns of informal workers and improve to develop.
