Polycarbonate filter, 0.2µm
Cultures were filtered on polycarbonate filters to obtain a cell monolayer
Cell-holders, mirrors, aluminum filters, temperature probes and electronic components were specifically designed and built for this experiment.
Cultures were filtered on polycarbonate filters to obtain about 108 cells per filters
monolayer of cells
and then mounted onto cell holders.

2. Sample holder filter holder
Two filters were mounted on each cell holder, with one of the filters kept in the dark at all time (control for non-EUV exposure).
In addition a control filter was kept on the ground for desiccation only
